Symptoms

In Acronis True Image you set up E-Mail notifications on operation results;
E-Mail notifications fail with the following error message: Cannot send e-mail. The possible reason might be incorrect e-mail settings.

Known issues

Possible reasons for e-mail notifications issues can be:

Symptoms

You have an HP computer in UEFI mode
You try to restore a system backup or perform a different operation with Acronis True Image that requires reboot
After reboot, the system boots directly to Windows. Acronis True Image does not start in boot mode and the recovery/other operation is not performed

Cause

HP computers in UEFI mode use a specific boot order that overrides Acronis Loader.

Solution

As a workaround, change the boot order manually:

Symptoms

Error "Video mode setup error: Error 0x1400006: Invalid video framebuffer parameters" occurs at computer boot time when you try one of the following:

Boot the computer from Acronis bootable media (Linux-based)
Use F11 feature (Acronis Startup Recovery Manager)
Perform a recovery, disk cloning or other operation, and a computer reboot was requested

This alert appears when the agent machine is offline during a scheduled backup. In this case, our Management Server has not received information whether the backup is running successfully or failed.

You back up Office 365 mailboxes with Acronis cloud agent.

After you've navigated to Microsoft Office 365 in the backup management console and clicked Refresh, you notice this warning message in Activities:

Cannot connect to site 'SPO root'.

Symptoms

You create a backup task with encryption. Version 12 backup archive format is used.
Backup fails with the following error:

Symptoms

1. You installed Acronis Backup 12.5 Update 4 (build 12730 and higher),
2. When you try to create a new backup plan or apply existing plan to a device, operation fails with the following error message

Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 30667: Connection refused

Symptoms

You save backups to an unmanaged location using Version 12 archive format
Two or more backup archives have the same "Date modified" value

Quick solution

If NAS is not listed under "My NAS connections" and/or under "Network", type NAS` IP-address in the text field "Back up to:", then hit Enter on keyboard.

Note: it may take several seconds to connect to the NAS.

Symptoms

You back up a macOS system with RAID set up using SoftRaid
If external USB drive is attached to the system, backup fails with the following error:
Selected volumes were not found: RAID 5

Cause

SoftRaid is currently not supported by Acronis Backup products. Correct functionality on systems with SoftRaid is not guaranteed.
